ANTONIO MENIN
Ha lavorato per le EDIZIONI ORIONE (Ares, Fantasy Warriors), FREE BOOKS (Desdy Metus, l’Insonne), STAR COMICS (Jonathan Steele) e PLANETA DE AGOSTINI.
Oltre al fumetto collabora anche con agenzie di comunicazione (ha realizzato campagne d’informazione, storyboard per campagne pubblicitarie e grafica a fumetto per videogiochi interattivi).
Dal 2003 indottrina le giovani menti all’arte sequenziale e dai primi mesi del 2007 è ospite presso la claDIS di TV, Facoltà di Disegno Industriale, dove nel "Laboratorio di fondamenti del design bidimensionale” del prof. Gabriele De Vecchi, tiene una lezione sul fumetto e la comunicazione per immagini.
Dal 2008 è Docente presso la sede di Padova della Scuola Internazionale Di Comics / Born in 1966, from Padua, after making his way through the ranks of different publishing companies, he makes his debut in the world of the sequential art in 1994, when he is among the finalists of “PRATOCOMICS”, a contest for emerging authors.
He then works with minor publishing companies and small self-publications; he applies himself to the word of commercial illustration too, making drawings and 3D animations for short ads.
In 2001 he cooperated with “EDIZIONI ORIONE” of Turin, for which he draws the issues of “ARES” of the “Fantasy Warriors” series.
In that period he starts a collaboration with Cedric Rassat: the effort results in “TONY PASTELLO”, a project proposed to “GLENAT”.
In 2004 he gets to “FREE BOOKS”, where he draws the deeds of Giuseppe Di Bernardo and Andrea J. Polidori’s creature, “DESDY METUS, L’INSONNE” (Desdy Metus the Insomniac).
In 2005 Federico Memola invites him to join the team that will work on “JONATHAN STEELE” for STAR COMICS.
In 2006 he cooperates with several Venetian communications agencies, drawing illustrator and advertising storyboards, working on the graphic layouts of educational booklets for the provincial administration of Padua
From the beginning of 2007 he is a visiting lecture at the Treviso claDIS, Faculty of Industrial design, where he teaches comic and visual communication in Professor Gabriele de Vecchi “Two-dimensional design basis workshop”.
From 2003 he has been holding comic courses, imbuing the younger minds with the sequential art; from 2008 he teaches at the Padua branch of “Scuola Internazionale di Comics”.
